What happens after I sign up?
After signing up with McMillan Fit, you will receive an email with instructions to download the Trainerize app. You will also be asked to download MyFitnessPal, which will be connected to your Trainerize account for nutrition tracking.
Your customized fitness and nutrition plan will be created within approximately 3 business days after sign-up. During your first week, you will also be asked to submit starting measurements and progress photos to help track your progress throughout your journey.
2. Do I need gym experience to work with you?
Nope! It doesn’t matter if you have never lifted a weight, an appropriate program will be created for you based on your level of comfort and experience. In addition, all the exercises are accompanied by a video in the app so that you can follow along.
3. Do I need to be a member of a gym or can I workout at home?
You absolutely can workout at home. Ideally, you would need some basic fitness equipment like dumbbells of various sizes (light, medium, heavy), resistance/loop band, a stability ball or workout bench. The more you have, the more variety you can have in your workouts.
4. How does online coaching work?
Online coaching through McMillan Fit is managed through the Trainerize app, where you will have access to everything you need in one place.
You will be assigned a customized workout program that typically lasts 8–12 weeks. Each day, you can log into the app to see your scheduled workouts, cardio sessions, nutrition goals, and any habits we are focusing on building. Your calendar may include workouts such as “Full Body Workout” or “30 Minutes of Cardio,” along with your daily nutrition targets.
Your workouts are designed to stay consistent throughout each phase of your program so you can focus on improving performance, building strength, and tracking progress over time.
At the end of each week, you will complete a check-in form directly in the app. This is where you can communicate how your week went, discuss any challenges, and ask questions so adjustments can be made if needed.
Progress photos and measurements are typically updated every 6 weeks to help track your results and overall progress.
5. How does payment work?
Payments for McMillan Fit are made through Venmo or Zelle based on the payment schedule agreed upon at sign-up. Payments are due on the same date each month unless otherwise discussed.
To keep coaching and programming active without interruption, payments should be submitted on time through Venmo or Zelle. A 3-day grace period is allowed for late payments. After that time, your Trainerize account will temporarily be moved to “offline” status until payment is received.
6. Do you offer refunds?
Once a month is started, there are no refunds and you will continue to have access to your program for the remainder of the month. If you choose a 3 or 6 months coaching package and pay up front,you are receiving a discounted rate compared to the month-to-month opion. If you decide to terminate your program early, you will be refunded for any unused full months remaining in your agreement. The refund will be adjusted to reflect the difference between the discounted package rate and the standard month-to-month rate for the time you completed.
